Circus Monoxide brings the magic of live circus to the Illawarra twice a year with our Mid Year and End of Year shows, right here at our Fairy Meadow performance space. Whether you are watching a first-time performer take their debut bow or marvelling at the skill of our advanced students, every Circus Monoxide show is a genuine, professional circus experience the whole family will love.
Our shows feature all term class students performing across a range of circus disciplines including aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, tumbling, juggling, and acrobatics, all brought to life with professional lighting, live music, and a lively MC who sets the tone for a true big top atmosphere.
The Circus Monoxide Youth Performance Troupe (CMYP) take things to the next level with high-quality original productions that blend exceptional art direction with the creative vision of the troupe itself. These are not just student showcases. They are fully realised circus theatre productions performed by some of the most dedicated young circus artists in the Illawarra.

TOY STORY: OUT OF THE BOX
The lid is off, the toys are loose, and anything is possible! Circus Monoxide is proud to present Toy Story: Out of the Box, our 2026 Mid Year Show, coming to the Precarious Stage in Fairy Meadow this June for four unforgettable performances.
Inspired by the boundless world of toys, play, and childhood imagination, this show invites audiences into a world where anything can come to life and every performer has a story to tell. Featuring students from across the entire Circus Monoxide school, from our tiniest beginners to our most seasoned performers, Toy Story: Out of the Box is a colourful, high-energy celebration of creativity, courage, and the pure joy of circus.
Expect dazzling aerial silks and trapeze, gravity-defying tumbling, masterful juggling, stunning acrobatics, and moments of pure theatrical magic woven together into a show the whole family will love. For many of our students, this is one of the most exciting performance opportunities of the year, a chance to step into the spotlight, share their hard work, and show their community just what they are made of.

WILD WEST: AFTER DARK 18+
Saddle up! The sun has set, the saloon is open, and the stage belongs to our boldest performers yet. Wild West: After Dark is Circus Monoxide's 18+ mid year showcase, a dazzling mashup of Wild West theatre and cabaret-inspired circus performance that celebrates the artistry, skill, and fearless spirit of our adult performers.
Think dusty outlaw glamour meets big top spectacle. From jaw-dropping aerial acts and daring acrobatics to cheeky choreography and magnetic stage presence, our performers bring grit, glitter, and a whole lot of flair to the Precarious Stage for one night only. This is circus with attitude, a night where creativity runs wild and the spotlight belongs entirely to the performers who have worked to earn it.
Wild West: After Dark Hosted by Rita Rodeo, is a celebration of everything our adult students are made of. Come along for an unforgettable evening of circus-inspired entertainment, cabaret magic, and a generous serve of Wild West charm. Grab your boots, grab your mates, and get ready for a night you will be talking about long after the curtain falls.

Wild Things After Dark – Circus Monoxide 16+ End of Year Showcase
Step into the world of Wild Things After Dark, Circus Monoxide’s adult-only end-of-year showcase! This cabaret- and burlesque-inspired performance celebrates the creativity, skill, and bold spirit of our adult performers in a playful, theatrical, and slightly mischievous way, all without being too risqué.
From daring acrobatics and jaw-dropping aerials to cheeky choreography and captivating stage presence, our performers bring energy, flair, and a sense of fun to the stage. Wild Things After Dark is a celebration of artistry, imagination, and performance, giving our adult students the spotlight they deserve to shine.
Join us for a few cheeky drinks and an unforgettable evening of circus-inspired entertainment, laughter, and a touch of cabaret magic on December 6th, 7:30pm.
End-of-Year Showcase
Join us for a spectacular celebration of creativity, courage, and circus magic at the Circus Monoxide End of Year Showcase, taking place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December 2025.
This highly anticipated annual event brings together our incredible students of all ages, from our tiniest Microbats to our advanced troupe performers. Across aerials, tumbling, juggling, object manipulation, acrobatics, and more, our students will amaze you with the skills they’ve developed throughout the year.
The End of Year Showcase is more than just a performance - it’s a chance for our community to come together and celebrate the growth, confidence, and artistry of every student who has trained with us in 2025. Expect breathtaking aerials, daring flips, dazzling hula hoops, and the unmistakable joy that comes from a supportive circus family.
Bring your friends and family along to witness the colour, energy, and excitement as our students take the stage and share their hard work in an unforgettable show to round out the year.
Canberra Circus Festival
Our talented Circus Monoxide Troupe take on the capital city, where the crew get the incredible opportunity to train and perform at the Canberra Circus Festival. During this time, the troupe will get the opportunity to also perform their own show - Circus Monoxide’s ‘Framed’.
FRAMED - Circus Monoxide Troupe Show
As silence falls and shadows stretch across the polished floors of a locked gallery, the typically still masterpieces begin to stir. Mischievous, mysterious, and magnificently alive, these works of art have stories they’re dying to tell… and secrets they can no longer keep.
Monet strikes up an unlikely friendship with Warhol, Rococo flirts with Abstraction, and elegance gives way to chaos as the gallery transforms into a playground of movement and mayhem.
‘FRAMED’ is brought to life by the daring and dynamic performers of Circus Monoxide’s Troupe, an after-dark adventure that pulls back the velvet curtain to reveal the hidden lives of art itself. Paintings slip from their gilded frames, sculptures shake off their stillness, and the gallery becomes a stage where styles clash, dance, and come alive in breathtaking ways.
Join us at the Precious Stage for a whirlwind of acrobatics, theatrics, and pure creative mischief. Witness the masters unbound, as they fly, twirl, and tumble through the night. But be warned…blink, and you just might miss the magic.

Circus Monoxide Fundraiser
On Sunday, August 24th, our Circus Monoxide community came together once again at Bunnings Bellambi for a fantastic sausage sizzle and cake stall fundraiser - and what a success it was!
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our incredible volunteers, performers, families, and supporters, we raised much-needed funds to help send our Troupe to the Canberra Circus Festival. The atmosphere was amazing and the support incredible.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by, bought a snag or a treat, pitched in behind the tongs, or helped spread the word. It’s this ongoing support that keeps our circus community strong and allows our performers to take bold leaps onto bigger stages.
