JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:
Circus Manager
Location: Circus Monoxide, Fairy Meadow
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Type: Full-time

About Us:
We are currently recruiting a Circus Manager. This is a full-time opportunity crucial for building relationships in the local community, driving the business, and leading a team.

As the Circus Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Circus Monoxide.

In this role you will:
- Create a vibrant and fun circus culture.
- Promote the Circus Monoxide brand and image within the local community.
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Work with the Management Committee to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive - growth and sustainability.
- Lead community initiatives by applying for grants through various funding sources to expand our programs within our community.
- Oversee marketing and promotional activities to attract new students and enhance our brand.
- Oversee administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, enrolments, and customer service, venue hire and event management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining facility standards.
- Manage the organisation of staff training to support program development and execution of the curriculum.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and the local community.
- Have availability to work afternoon shifts when the circus classes are most active, and some weekend shifts as required, when shows and events are on. 

 About You:
We are looking for a passionate individual with the following qualifications and skills:
- A genuine care for the creative community
- Proven experience in management, preferably within the educational arts non-government sectors.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Organisational planning, implementing innovative ideas and project management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in team leadership and management.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work constructively with the volunteer board.
- Experience in grant writing or the ability to quickly acquire this skill.
- Passion for the arts and an understanding of the circus industry is a plus.  
- Skilled in staff management, safe working methods, and inclusive leadership practices.
- Ability to obtain a compliant Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Have or can obtain a First Aid Certificate.  
- Flexibility with work hours.
