About the Big Top

A fully equipped mobile performing arts venue. Not only do we bring a great show, but also a fantastic 500 seat venue which can be used in a veritable multitude of ways in addition to our performances.

For instance this year it will sit alongside the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre as the other main venue for the Catapult Youth Arts Festival in Bathurst, housing workshops and performances by a number of youth and professional circus and physical theatre groups.

We welcome your ideas on how our tent can add value to a visit by Circus Monoxide to your community.

 

On Tour Workshops Package:

Circus Monoxide offers a range of workshops to suit all ages and skill levels. What's more, we can tailor our workshop program to the specific needs of your community.

Here are just a few examples:

'Give It a Whirl!' - Circus workshops for anyone aged 9-90
'Kick-Start Kids' - Circus for young people aged 5-12
'Circus Stars' - Never thought of yourself as a circus performer? Surprise yourself! For women aged 16 and over.
'Belly Laughs in the Big Top' - A fun introduction to circus for differently abled adults.
'Big Kids, Little Fish' - A special circus workshop for parents/carers and their kids


Costs:

Circus Monoxide's Crash n Burn is offered to presenters under two possible arrangements:

Week buy - $30,000 + GST.

Week Co-Production - For Example*: Presenter guarantees Circus Monoxide $12,500 + GST. Presenter receives all box office up to this amount. All box office over and above this amount is split 80/20 (Circus Monoxide/Presenter).
*Actual terms are negotiated according to the specific circumstances of each co-production.
