CIRCUS MONOXIDE is a veritable catapult of circus performance, aiming towards the future with a lit fuse and a mischievous glint in their eye. From their Wollongong home, this company churn out some of the best animal-free contemporary circus with the aid of some of Australia’s best circus performers flailing and flipping. Click on our SHOWS link for more info.

In addition to Circus Monoxide’s glorious circus shows, they also raise Harvey’s Troupe and Half High Circus:

HARVEY'S TROUPE is gritty, grungy, edgy new circus from the emerging professionals of the contemporary circus world. Monoxide raised this troupe of circus delinquents like a babe in arms and now they’re all grown up and performing jawdropping circus of their very own. Occasionally these little dynamos can get a little deviant, but they’re very good at being festival and family friendly too…

HALF HIGH CIRCUS SCHOOL is Monoxide’s third arm (they’re handy for juggling) and encompasses the classes we teach and the facilities we share that make circus accessible for EVERYONE. Yes everyone, from 2yrs to 92yrs, from clutzy beginners to circus pros. We reach out freakishly far in our outreach to ensure that the inspired lunacy of Circus Monoxide extends as far as these freakishly long arms can take us. We provide over 40 different weekly classes in our Wollongong warehouse for all ages AND gallivant into the depths of New South Wales to bring Circus to a whole host of school or youth groups. Want to learn circus? Spectating not your game? Prefer to participate? Participate away with Half High. COME AND PLAY

Superb & Broken

"This show combines the skills of the big top with the power of theatre.
There are scenes here that will lodge in your mind for months. Best of all, it’s beautifully subversive
."
-  William Verity, Illawara Mercury

The pleasure of danger.  Glorious acts of defiance.

A man in 18th century sea captain’s costume sings for his life atop a tower of deck chairs. A neat-freak balances a metre-high jelly on her head. A sensible Dad is suddenly free in red sequins and make-up.

For no-one. For themselves…

Three ordinary people search for passion and a self buried deep in the dark...

A homage to the power of fantasy to get to the truth of the matter, superb & broken combines brilliant clowning with jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics by some of Australia’s finest circus artists.
