Alicia Battestini - Artistic Director
Al has been with Circus Monoxide since 1998 as a performer. In 2002 she became one of its' heavy vehicle drivers - a pre-requisite to becoming the company's artistic director in 2004. Prior to Monoxide she was Marketing Associate at the Danspace Project in New York, as well as a yoga teacher, a fruit seller and an appalling waitress. Her training includes a Masters Degree in Performance Studies from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, a BA Honours in Performance Studies from Sydney University and a BA in Communications (Theatre/ Media), Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. As a performer she tends towards clowning with a magic-realist bent. As a director her passion is big spectacle and powerful physical performance.

Hall Murray - Circus Director
Hall is one of the founding members of Circus Monoxide. His training includes a BA in Theatre & Media from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. Over the years he has done most of the jobs this company has to offer: rigging, performing, driving the buses, driving the company, directing, fixing computers and fund raising.

Jane Davis - Associate Director
As well as directing, administering, cleaning, teaching and organising, Jane specialises in aerials and acro-balance, and has performed at a wide range of festivals and events throughout Australia and overseas. She is the Director and Head Trainer of Half High Circus, Circus Monoxide's children's and youth circus. Jane teaches children from as young as two, and adults as old as seventy, to climb to the top of human pyramids, juggle and swing from a trapeze. Jane is also a qualified early childhood and special needs teacher (B.Teach, Grad Cert, Churchill Fellowship), and has worked extensively with children with autism.

Jess Moore - Finance and Operations Manager...
...a title for which she feels she needs some kind of official looking badge. Most of her working week is spent chasing paperwork and receipts from circus performers who think it oh-so-unimportant and trying to tell creative types that we don't actually have a trillion dollars to spend on the next show. She spends the rest of her time (well most of it) as an activist, building environment and social justice campaigns. She's been involved in the movements around worker and student rights, anti-war, environment and Aboriginal rights and is an active member of the Socialist Alliance.

Honora Jenkins - Administrator
Honora has a passion for the community, arts, education and small business, and has been actively involved in these areas for over 15 years. She has experience in stage managing small events, co-ordinating and facilitating creative and performing arts workshops , and small business management. Prior to Circus Monoxide she was employed as Education Co-ordinator for Merrigong Theatre Co at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
